Jabiru / Kakadu National Park

Day 40. On Friday we travelled 171 km (total 5350) to Jabiru in Kakadu National park. We camped at Kakadu lodge caravan park . The pool is awesome and I can ride no hands on my bike on the roads in the caravan park. We had a look around the town and went to the airport and we booked our flights and mine tour for Saturday. We swam before dinner then had another swim after dinner under lights over the pool.

Day 41. On Saturday (June 26th) in the morning we did the Ranger Uranium Mine Tour. We saw a massive massive digger and a huge huge dump truck in the open cut mine. At the mine they dig out rock which have uranium in them. They process the uranium and put it into drums to be sent overseas for power stations. We went on a Kakadu scenic flight. It was one hour. I had so much fun until after a waterfall called JimJim falls and I began to feel sick. Then we flew over Twin Falls - they were like a waterfall that had been joined together then split in half. I was a bit hot in the plane. Sometimes it was a bit smoky too because they were burning off the forest. Dad felt sick also. You dont want to know what happened. It was still an awesome flight because we got to see lots of Kakadu National Park. After the flight we went to the resort pool and had a nice cool swim.
