Day 42-43 JUNE 27-28TH

DAY 42-JUNE 27th

Today we went to see some Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr. Some of the rock art was 30000 years old. The skeleton pictures were about 2000 years old. Along the walking trail we climbed some rocks and then at the top we saw spectacular views of the wetland plains of Kakadu. On the way back from the Aboriginal art we saw some burnoff fires and when we were driving along through the smoke all the smoke was coming the airconditioning vents in the car. The fire was just right on the side of the road so we got some pictures. They have these burnoff fires to stop the bush getting too overgrown and it will help stop massive bushfires later on in the dry season.

DAY 43-JUNE 28th

Today we left Jabiru and travelled south along the Kakadu Highway through the Kakadu national park and down to Pine Creek, where we stayed at Pussycat Flats and we are camping on the horse racetrack. Later that day it was getting really hot so me and Adam got into our bathers and went for a ride under the sprinklers, and we got really cooled down.
