DAY 92 - AUGUST 16th
Today we travelled to Kalbarri which is 146km South from Galena Bridge where we stayed last night. We had lunch by the beach and then went for a ride and found a camping spot right next to the beach. After we had set up camp we went for another ride and we saw a little snake on the path that I accidentally ran over. Then we went to the parrot breeding centre where in the open enclosure we got to feed the parrots and some of them landed on our heads and arms. I named one of the parrots red head because he had red hair (feathers) like me!
After we had seen all the birds at the parrot breeding centre we went back to the camper - it was horrid weather that night.
DAY 93 - AUGUST 17th
Today we arrived in Geraldton which is a very big town. First we went to the tourist info visitor centre and we decided to stay one night at the Belair Caravan Park . Later in the day we went to a jewellers shop where I got to hold a 384 gram gold nugget which was worth 1/2 million dollars. when we got back to the camper me and Adam played lego and rode our bikes.
DAY 94 - AUGUST 18th
Today on the way to Green Head we visitored the Geraldton Bureau of Meteorology where Gary showed us how to operated the controls and how they found out the weather. We saw him launch the weather balloon and told us how the laser tracks the balloon to find out wind speed direction in the higher atmosphere. After we had finished travelling we arrived at Green Head caravan park and then went for a bike ride. There wasnt much to see in Green Head. That night we drove to Jurien Bay 30km from Green Head, where we went out for dinner. The weather was pretty cold that day.
