Singapore Zoo

Our second day saw us heading to one of the best Zoos in the world with over 2000 species of animal, bird & reptile. Really beautiful and well maintained zoo we had a great time, even an afternoon deluge didn't dampen our enthusiasm for the experience. The boys had an elephant ride and we had the opportunity to get really close to some of the animals.
After the zoo we went to shopping central - Orchard Road. Kids learnt a few bartering skills and acquired new skullcandy.
Really easy to get around the place public transport MRT fast clean & efficient.
Dinner was had at tea connoisseur heaven - the finest tea infused in our meal, as well as sipped after being expertly prepared and presented. (hundreds of teas to choose from)
Everyone slept well after busy but fun day.

"when I have kids I'm going to recommend that they holiday in Singapore" and "best day of my life so far" were two of the comments from boys today!
We arrived today in darkness, Changi Airport nicely air-conditioned, but as soon as we stepped outside Singapore's beautiful warmth embraced us. Boys were in awe when we arrived at our digs - the Marina Bay Sands. By 7.30 we were swimming in the worlds largest highest infinity pool - 200 metres above sea level on reclaimed land. Our room is amazing. We got to view the city from a birds eye from the pool, then on the Singapore flyer later on - absolutely incredible views!
The fun kept coming when the boys took turns flying in aircraft simulator including take off, and landing.
While dad had sleep boys had another session in the pool as the sky's clouded over but the 30+ heat remained. Plans for going out to dinner curtailed when two very tired young men collapsed early evening.
